How to (Remotely) Succeed: In a time of rapid transition to working from home, learn from two for whom the 'new normal' was old hat. Cassie Hunt and Tia Byrd, both at Washington and Lee, have been working full time on a semi- or full-remote basis for years and are happy to share the tricks and tips that have made it work for them as employees and managers.
Cassie Hunt has worked in Advancement her entire career: in annual giving and advancement operations at Washington and Lee University, as a senior associate at Bentz Whaley Flessner focusing on operations and annual giving, at the University of Richmond in advancement data and reporting. In 2015 Cassie returned to W&L, her alma mater, and currently serves as the executive director of advancement operations. Her current role focuses on all back-end aspects of the advancement division, including database management, gift accounting, data integrity and reporting, the online community, prospect research, and analytics.
Tia Byrd joined the development staff at Washington and Lee University in 2006. She is currently the Assistant Director of Research and Analytics.
